yeah. There are supposed to be around 15 clans across the United states... which emerge every 13 or 17 years, based on their species and location. And these darned insects can get LOUD!! talk of upto 120dB. Compare this to the sound of A truck passing on the highway..which is measured to be 65dB. 120dB is loud enough to actually be painful to the ear. Well... that's about all the mischief that these icky insects do. And yeah... they swarm in hundreds and thousands. Creepy ehh. Well.. better be prepared ... coz Brood X (The one emerging this year) is gonna be out shortly.:D After 17 years!! to live for 3 weeks, mate, and die... so that the cycle repeats again after another 17 years!!! Wow... talk about waiting to find a lost love;)
